How to Delete Your Account in the App
- Open the Fantera app and sign in.
- Go to your profile by tapping your avatar, then open Profile → Data Rights.
- Tap Delete My Account and confirm. You will be asked to confirm twice because this action is permanent.
Deletion begins immediately and cannot be undone. If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email at privacy@fantera.net from the email address on your account; we may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
What Is Deleted
When you delete your account, we remove the information that identifies you, including:
- Your mobile phone number and email address (both the stored values and their hashes)
- Your display name and username (replaced with “Deleted Fan”)
- Your profile photo and bio
- Your direct messages
- Your friend connections and any friend or contact matches, in both directions
- Other account identifiers, and your registered notification device
Your FNR balance is forfeited on deletion and cannot be recovered. FNR has no cash value.
What We Keep, and Why
Some records are retained after deletion, either in a form no longer tied to your name or contact information, or because we are permitted or required to keep them. These include:
- De-identified activity and demographic records.Records of events such as check-ins and interactions, and any demographic details you provided, are retained in association with an internal pseudonymous identifier — not your name, phone, or email — for analytics and for the aggregated datasets described in our Privacy Policy.
- Content you posted publicly.Posts and similar content may remain on the Service attributed to “Deleted Fan” rather than to you.
- Messages you sent in crew chats.Messages you posted in a crew’s group chat remain visible to that crew, attributed to “Deleted Fan” rather than to you. Your direct messages are deleted, as described above.
- Audit, security, and moderation records. We keep records needed to comply with the law, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.
- Records already shared or sold.Information already shared with an athletic program you engaged with, or already included in an aggregated dataset that was built or sold, cannot be recalled. See the “forward-looking” explanation in our Privacy Policy.
California and Texas Residents
Deleting your account is one way to exercise your right to delete under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. You may also make access, correction, and other requests as described in our Privacy Policy, or by emailing privacy@fantera.net. We do not charge you or penalize you for exercising these rights.
