There isn’t one. Fantera makes money by selling anonymized, aggregate fan intelligence to national sponsors and brands — not from local merchants. More merchants in the network means more data, which makes our product more valuable. You joining the network for free is how we make money.
No. Fantera detects transactions through the card network itself (Visa, Mastercard). We never touch your POS system, and your staff doesn’t need to do anything differently.
No. Fans always pay your normal full prices. The rewards they earn are redeemed inside the Fantera app for merch and experiences. However, if you want to drive even more foot traffic, you can optionally offer in-store redemption items (like a free appetizer or coffee). You choose what to offer, you fund just the product cost, and fans come to you specifically to redeem. This is completely optional — you can stay on the free earning-only tier as long as you want.
We see that a verified fan made a purchase at your location, the date, and the transaction amount. We never see itemized receipts, and we never share your individual business data with competitors. You get an anonymized dashboard showing your own fan traffic patterns.
